To design swimwear for the body you're in.

We're creating a future of swimwear where change is celebrated, accepted, and represented. A future where trying on a swimsuit each summer doesn’t make you feel like your body is a problem.

Two sizes replace a dozen traditional ones

We make magically comfortable swimsuits in two sizes that adapt to fit a dozen traditional ones.

We call them Stretch I (US 2-12) and Stretch II (US 14-24).

Made using our luxuriously flexible Versoform™ fabric, our suits will effortlessly stretch and adapt to you and your unique shape.

A perfect fit without the stress

We've eliminated the guesswork of traditional fixed sizes.

Our flexible Versoform™ fabric is your second skin. Two adaptable sizes flex to your unique body for a fit you can rely on, season after season.

Seamless

Circular knitting machines create our one-of-a-kind Versoform™ crinkle fabric, resulting in seamless swimsuits.

No side-seams means no restrictions. Paired with our specially-designed cuts and technical fabric, this allows our swimsuits to accommodate sizes US 2 to 24.

Four-way stretch

Experience ultimate comfort and freedom of movement with our four-way stretch Versoform™ fabric.

Soft, luxe and designed to flex in all directions — it offers a fit that gently hugs your body while maintaining shape and support.

The fabric

Many crinkles, only one Versoform™

Our one-of-a-kind Versoform™ crinkle fabric has been specially developed to luxuriously flex and adapt to your changing body — in and out of the water, this summer and next.

Tested on hundreds of real bodies just like yours, it guarantees a fit you can rely on.

Our commitment

At Youswim, it’s important to us that our second-skin swimsuits are produced thoughtfully, locally, ethically, and using the highest quality materials.

We know that a supply chain is very important when investing in an item, and we want you to feel confident and fully aware of how your swimsuit is made.

Material innovation

By producing swimwear that adapts to fit your evolving shape, our swimsuits will spend more time at the beach and less time in landfill.

We currently use European-sourced premium nylon 66 and elastane because these are the highest quality and longest-lasting materials available. They provide supreme comfort, durability and stretch — qualities are paramount to our mission.

We are constantly testing new recycled and bio-based materials. Continue reading for more info.

Yarn production

We responsibly source our OEKO-TEX® certified yarns from European mills to ensure they meet our very specific needs and high quality standards.

We source yarns which are uniquely stretchy, extremely durable, and have none of the toxic stuff — like PFAS chemicals.

Fabric production

Our yarns are knitted together on circular machines by specially skilled knitters based in the England.

They employ excellent quality practices and are audited often, maintaining our ethical standards and ensuring ethical working conditions with living wages, safe environments, and no exploitation, in compliance with UK labor standards. No sweatshops here.

Processing and dyeing

Where the magic happens — the dying process transforms our fabric into the unique, out-of-this-world soft and adaptable fabric you know and love.

Our expert dyers are based in the UK, employing state-of-the-art processes to ensure we leave no trace — following strict UK waste management guidelines and EU Waste Framework Directive.

Many dye manufacturers are developing soy-based dyestuffs which are bio-based. We are constantly testing the performance of new bio-dyes, which may use less water than traditional nylon dyes.

Cut and sew

Our sewists are a small family-run business based in the UK, fair trade practices, ensuring ethical working conditions with living wages, safe environments, and no exploitation, in compliance with UK labor standards.

The pattern cutter carefully interlocks the pattern onto the lengths of fabric to minimise wastage, and each piece is carefully sewn together to create the final finished garment.

Organized output

Aware of fashion's impact on the environment, we intentionally don’t produce swimsuits at the unsustainable rate you might be accustomed to of many other brands.

Our current collection's production slows down when we introduce new colors, which we only do once or twice each year.

By focusing on timeless styles instead of trends, our aim is only to make enough swimsuits to meet the demand, and we will never needlessly and endlessly upscale.

Maintaining the same output year round ensures our production partners have a steady rather than seasonal work.

Quality control

Once complete, our finished suits are received at our studio in London.

It’s here that our packing team thoughtfully quality control every single one — tagging them and folding them neatly into their FSC® certified and fully compostable packaging.

Any less-than-perfect suits are destined for our sample sale to give you a chance to buy at a discount and, most importantly, reduce waste. Any suits deemed too imperfect for sale are sent to our recycling partner. We never landfill.

We’re constantly reviewing new and cutting-edge ways to recycle our fabric — like respinning it with a recycled yarn. We hope to have an update for you in late 2024.

What about recycled materials?

We’re working on it. Recycled materials don't currently meet the durability, longevity and stretch standards of our current swimsuits — meaning they’d spend more time in landfills.

We’ve found that EU-sourced premium virgin nylon 66 and elastane provide the longest life, most robustness, and has the unique Youswim stretch and comfort you’ve come to know and love.

Our efforts currently focus on biodegradable bio-based yarns made from renewable sources such as maise and biodegradable to leave no trace. We’re currently in the research and development phase and hope to have an update for you by the end of 2024.
